Workshops at the pottery Stwidio
The Pottery Stiwdio is a small independent artist studio run by Joanna Bond who is a professional artist and tutor specialising in ceramics.
Besides working and running workshops at The Pottery Stiwdio, details below Joanna travels throughout Wales teaching ceramic skills for all ages and abilities; each course being tailored to the individual and/or organisation.
Her workshops is often a response to the relationship and connection we all have with the natural world. This idea is incorporated into her unique tiles, jugs, jewellery and sculptures items, all of which can be purchased at her studio and/or website shop.
Term time and holidays
During the sessions students will have the opportunity to explore the versatile qualities of clay, using an array of craft tools and pattern making techniques and at the end take their piece home to dry and paint. Please phone to book a time the suits.
Full day session – £36 10 – 5 pm
with half an hour break for lunch. Drinks provided but bring your lunch.
Half Day Session – £18
Either 10am – 1pm or 2pm – 5pm

Children will work on developing self expression and learning new skills in pottery making.

Adult Pottery Classes
During this course students will have the opportunity to develop their creativity whilst exploring the versatile qualities of clay; learning techniques such as drawing and designing for pottery, tile making, pattern making and texturing, slab building and colouring using slips oxides and glazes.
Every Thursday morning
Jug workshop £80 materials included
First session 10am – 4:30 plus second session 10am -12 pm
On this 2 part course Joanna will show you how to make a beautiful slab built jug, patterned using leaves, stamps, found objects and other materials. Work will be left to dry for a week then bisq fired ready for your return in two weeks time. For the second part (this is a shorter day) you will learn about staining with oxides, glazing and preparing your jug ready for the final firing. Work will be ready to collect a week later.
